aerial photograph of Brooksbottom Mill & Waterside Pub Summerseat Bury Lancashire UK, built in 1874-1876 for Edward Hoyle re0lacing mills built by Robert Peel and Yates in 1773 and Richard Hamer in 1812, which stood on the same site. Originally it was water powered but by 1850 was running on steam. In 1983 the mill was converted into flats. Part of the mill complex was a building which spanned the river adjacent to the bridge which was converted into a pub called the Waterside. Unfortunately this building was destroyed by flooding on Boxing Day 2015. This image was taken in 2004 and shows the Waterside Pub as it was. Please note this image is not nearly the same resolution as my modern work. Maximum recommended reproduction size is A4.I have kept it in the gallery because of its unique historic value.
