aerial photograph of rocky cliffs on the north coast of Cornwall at Dennis Point Cornwall England UK. The name Dennis Point is thought to relate to an Iron Age fort which may have stood here, Dennis being derived from Dinas, which is Cornish for Fort. There is no longer any trace of a fort at this location and it has probably been eroded by the sea. The coastal erosion is the reason for the spectacular cliffs and has also been the sight of many shipwrecks through the centuries. The coast along this stretch is designates ad a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
