Opened in 1836, Liverpool Lime Street is the worlds oldest main line terminus still in use and was designed by John Cunningham, Arthur Holme, and John Foster. The adjacent Grade II listed North Western Hotel was design was by Sir Alfred Waterhouse and opened in 1871. It has now been converted to apartments.
